Ximedica Sponsors Yale Healthcare Hackathon

On January 21 - 22, 2017 Ximedica team members Tara Ebsworth, Farzanah Ausaluth, Ayan Bhandari, Marina Aldarondo and Mark Guarraia attended Yale’s Healthcare Hackathon, an event also sponsored by Ximedica.

In just 24 hours, team members partnered with scientists, engineers, clinicians and other designers to build compelling ideas that increase patient experience and provider engagement. Director of Industrial Design Mark Guarraia served as a judge for the event, which drew attendees from all over the world.

Mechanical Engineer Tara Ebsworth’s group took home first place in the “Imaging/Radiology” category for their concept, Ultrasound Unchained. Human Factors Industrial Designer Ayan Bhandari also worked as a mentor for participating attendees.
