PROVIDENCE, RI (June 1, 2017) - Ximedica was recently named as one of the 2017 Best Places to Work in Rhode Island, an annual list of the Best Places to Work in Rhode Island sponsored by Providence Business News and Best Companies Group. This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the top 60 best places of employment in Rhode Island, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and businesses. To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements: Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity; be a publicly or privately held business; have a facility in the state of Rhode Island and/or Bristol County, MA; have at least 15 employees working in Rhode Island and/or Bristol County, MA; and must be in business a minimum of 1 year.

Companies needed more than 40% participation of employees in a two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Rhode Island. More than 65% of Ximedica’s employees participated in the survey. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall survey process in Rhode Island and analyzed the data to determine the final rankings.

Companies with the highest employee ratings for workplace practices, philosophy, and overall employee experience were honored as being among the Best Places to Work.

Ximedica will be honored by the Providence Business News Awards during the 2017 Best Places to Work in RI Awards & Dinner program, taking place June 21st from 5:30 – 8 pm at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick. Ximedica will be recognized for their excellence at a mid-size company. “We participated because we wanted to understand where we were, not because we expected to win. The most important part of this process was getting honest feedback, so we can get better each year. But we’re delighted to be honored with this award,” said Tracy MacNeal, EVP of Corporate Development at Ximedica.
