Innovative solutions are often discovered through questions no one has asked.

Ximedica’s research and strategy group fills a critical role in the front end of the innovation process by going deep to uncover needs, identify opportunities, and inspire design with a coherent, actionable strategy. We use a wide array of quantitative and qualitative techniques in both clinical and non-clinical settings to provide voice of the customer input and validation.  Our critical observations and insights go beyond what standard research practices can articulate.

Our team is a diverse mix of seasoned experts including marketing and business strategists, cognitive and behavioral psychologists, human factor engineers and design research specialists practiced in voice of the customer research, ethnography, product strategy, brand portfolio management, usability studies, and clinical testing.

Ximedica’s research staff are experienced and comfortable working in the healthcare and home environments both nationally and globally, have current credentialing status and are trained in ethics, HIPPA requirements and Institutional Board Review guidelines.

All work closely with industrial design, engineering & regulatory teams to generate an efficient and fertile foundation for product development. Unlike many other research-based organizations that often disappear after the final report deliverable, our research group takes an active contributory role in the continuing product development process, working in collaboration with the other disciplines to ensure the learning and insights are appropriately weaved in and not neglected in later design, engineering and validation heavy phases. Our researchers are also actively engaged in the risk management documentation.
