Randall S. Barko
President & Chief Executive Officer
Randy comes to Ximedica with over 35 years of leading medical device and healthcare organizations towards global and financial growth. Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer in 2012 he served as a longstanding executive advisor to the organization. Currently Barko serves on the Board of Directors of several privately owned companies and is involved with several private equity and venture capital groups. In addition he was named to the AdvaMed Accel and MassMEDIC Board of Directors in 2014.
Prior to these roles, Randy gained leadership and business development skills serving as Vice President of Corporate Development at Flextronics (NASDAQ: FLEX), and Corporate Vice President, Marketing & Business Development and member of the Board of Directors at Nypro Inc.
During his 25 years with Nypro he was responsible for the business teams that led to steady growth in annual sales from $40 million to $1 billion.
Chief Financial Officer
With over 20 years of broad based finance, corporate accounting, operations, forecasting, cost take out, and strategic management experience. His work and industry experience offers an array of services, manufacturing, and medical – a perfect blend for Ximedica’s unique business model. Prior to joining Ximedica Craig worked in the accounting and business consulting realm, most recently as Principal and CFO of KLR, Inc.,one of the largest firms in New England, and among the top 100 CPA firms in the nation. Just prior to KLR, he held senior director positions with BearingPoint, Inc., a $3.5 Billion publicly traded professional service company that was one of the world’s largest management consulting, systems integration and managed service firms.
Craig’s manufacturing knowledge base grew from his tenure with KVH Industries, a $100.0 million publicly traded company that develops, manufactures and markets mobile satellite communications products for the automotive, recreational vehicle and marine markets. The company also develops manufactures and markets navigation, guidance and stabilization products for the defense and commercial markets. Corporate controllerships with Biosphere Medical, a former publicly traded medical device company (NASDAQ - BSMD) that was pioneering the use of bioengineered microspheres to treat hypervascularized tumors and vascular malformations by occluding their blood supply – and Immunogen, Inc., a publicly traded biotechnology (NASDAQ - IMGN) focused on the research and development of immunoconjugates and apoptotic (programmed cell death) technologies for the treatment of cancer – solidified his medical device/biotech experience and background.
Craig holds a BA in Economics from Boston College which he followed up with dual Master’s degrees from Northeastern University – one an MS in Accounting and the other an MBA. He is both a CPA and a CMGA.
