Kat Darula

Director, Design Research

 

In her role as Director of Design Research, Kat leads large-scale system safety and operational change programs for the Healthcare Delivery Solutions team. She recognizes that successful transformation of healthcare delivery hinges on co-creating with key stakeholders - the people who ultimately own and sustain the new operational models created during the collaborative development process.

Kat brings 16 years of global experience conducting, analyzing and translating user research into implementable design strategies and solutions for the built environment, systems, and product platforms in healthcare, commercial, and government organizations.

 

Before starting at Ximedica, she held positions at Multi, Design for People, LLC as Co-Founder and Principal, Martha Stewart Omnimedia, Inc. as Lead Researcher and Strategist for Everyday Living Brand, and Calvin Klein, Inc. as Senior Design Researcher for CK Brands.

Kat holds a Master of Industrial Design System and Process Design degree from the Rhode Island School of Design, a Bachelor of Science degree in Built Environment from the School of Visual Arts, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Anthropology from Lafayette College.
