Derek is a Program Manager at Ximedica, with over 14 years of engineering, new product design, development and project management experience in the consumer, industrial and medical products industries.  He has a proven track record of leading product development efforts from concept through production and into the marketplace. 

Derek came to Ximedica from Emo Labs (a venture-backed start-up company) in Waltham, MA, where he led the engineering and development of a completely novel type of loudspeaker technology for nearly five years.  Prior to that, his experience includes six years at Continuum in Newton, MA, where he developed products ranging from diapers to DNA analyzers to diabetic insulin pumps and whose clients include P&G, American Express, Insulet and J&J.  

Derek graduated from Boston University, where he was a Trustee Scholar, with a BS and MS degree in Manufacturing Engineering while focusing on product design/development and process improvement.
