Ximedica Unveils Plans For 23,000 Square Foot Expansion of Lab & Manufacturing Facilities

XIMEDICA® UNVEILS PLANS FOR 23,000 SQUARE FOOT EXPANSION OF LAB AND MANUFACTURING FACILITIES

NEW CLEAN ROOMS AND DEDICATED ENGINEERING AND TEST FACILITIES WILL SUPPORT INCREASED MANUFACTURING OF BOTH CAPITAL EQUIPMENT AND DISPOSABLES.

June 8, 2010, Providence, RI – In response to its steady growth in the design and manufacturing of medical device and consumer health products, Ximedica has announced that it will expand its facility’s footprint to include numerous new clean rooms as well as expanded quality control, technical development, and prototyping space. With an expected completion in early 2011, this new space will provide additional capacity and allow Ximedica to better serve its diverse base of medical device and consumer healthcare clients with greater flexibility to accommodate programs of a wider scale.

The facility expansion will complete the second phase of development of Ximedica’s Providence-based headquarters, which the company purchased in 2006. Ximedica also maintains an office in Hong Kong to support its Asian supply chain operations.
