Software Engineering Manager

In his role as Software Engineering Manager, Carl leads and advises a multi-disciplined team made up of Senior Software Engineers, Senior Software Test Engineers and Software Quality Assurance Engineers.  The group has a combined software engineering experience of over 100 years using a consistent approach to software engineering based on IEC 62304.  Carl and his team solve problems through software engineering in many aspects of medical device development: embedded device software engineering, PC based medical devices, industrial automation for manufacturing of medical devices and automated testing fixtures.  Each type of software engineering challenge has a documented process which ensures a safe, quality product is designed, developed and documented.

Prior to joining Ximedica with over 18 years in the software industry, Carl has architected, engineered and managed innovative software, automation and medical systems that spearheaded new technologies, processes and paradigms while delivering reliable systems that solve complex problems. Carl received his Bachelor of Industrial Technology (BBS) from Rhode Island College.
